Overcoming the consequences of war together

Project Duration: 01.03.2017 - 30.09.2018

Number of Beneficiaries: 16 representatives of non-governmental organizations from Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine and Russia (Chechnya)

Target group: NGO representatives from RA Gegharkunik, Lori, Shirak provinces and city of Yerevan, which have an experience in various projects on integration of refugees’ issues. Location: Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine and Russia (Chechnya)

Goal։ The goal of “Overcoming the consequences of war together” project is primarily aimed at supporting Ukrainian civil society in tackling the social conflicts resulting from the war in Eastern Ukraine. Using expertise and experience from other Eastern European (post) war zones, to provide actors in civil society with targeted professional training in conflict transformation and dialogue facilitation.

Objectives։ Supporting the integration of internally displaced persons and refugees

Activities։ Three study visits focussing on effective strategies for the integration of internally displaced persons and refugees in Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia Publication of a brochure in four languages on successful integration projects for internally displaced persons and refugees in Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia and Russia.

Donors: The program is implemented by “German-Russian Exchange” (DRA) NGO and funded by German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Partners: “Supporting the integration of internally displaced persons and refugees” is one of the six directions of “Overcoming the consequences of war together” project. “German-Russian Exchange” DRA NGO (Germany) realizes this project direction in partnership with “Armenian Caritas” Benevolent NGO (Armenia), “Country of Free People” NGO (Ukraine) and “Sukhumi” Foundation (Georgia). Within the framework of the project DRA has also four partners with whom realizes other project directions.
