Volunteer of the Month July, 2017

1Seda Popova has been selected as our Volunteer of the Month for July, 2017!

In 2011-2013 Seda had been volunteering in “Emili Aregak” Day Care Center for Children and Youth with Multiple Disabilities.

From 2013 till now she has been volunteering in “Little Prince” social center/Gyumri.

At first she actively participated in the organization of events, together with children she did community work and helped the staff of the center in administrative affairs.

At the moment, together with the cooking group leader, she runs the group, giving children a variety of professional knowledge and skills. She also helps in the kitchen and makes interesting events within the group.

“At the beginning of my volunteering, I was a closed person, but then by working with children I became more sociable. During volunteering period, I have participated in different trainings and enriched my professional knowledge stock. At first, I didn’t have any idea about volunteering, had a lot of difficulties in communicating with children, but during the time I managed to overcome all the barriers. Now I can say, that volunteering means to help others within the frames of your personal abilities. If God gives you the opportunity of walking, speaking, working, then you can be useful to those who need and do it with dignity.”
